Italian teenager Carlo Acutis, who died of leukemia at the age of 15, will be declared a Catholic saint. The Vatican recognized a miracle involving a woman from Costa Rica, who prayed at Blessed Carlo’s tomb for her daughter Valeria, severely injured in a bicycle accident. After the prayers, Valeria made a miraculous recovery, which led to this acknowledgment. Pope Francis had previously beatified Carlo in 2020 in Assisi, where his remains are entombed.
In addition to Carlo Acutis, Pope Francis recognized miracles attributed to Blessed Giuseppe Allamano and approved the canonization of 11 martyrs in Syria. This includes the martyrdom of individuals such as Servant of God Stanislav Kostka Streich and Mária Magdolna Bódi. The decrees also highlighted the heroic virtues of several Servants of God, reflecting a significant moment for the Catholic Church. Long Live The Church!
